When we started developing energy storage in 2017, it was still uncharted territory. Yet, we saw the potential of batteries as a vital link in the energy system. Our experience and perseverance make us one of the leaders in the Netherlands in large-scale energy storage.

What we do

Green Energy Storage develops, implements and manages large-scale battery storage systems (BESS) that create flexibility in the Dutch electricity grid.
With our projects we reduce grid costsgestie, we support the integration of sustainable energy and build a safer and more future-proof energy system.

We combine technical expertise, market knowledge, and a proven development process to enable energy storage at strategic locations.

Project development
From concept to implementation, we manage the entire development process of a BESS project. We begin with location and network analyses, technical and spatial feasibility studies, permits, and business case modeling. We then coordinate engineering, contracting, financing, and construction preparation. The result: an optimally designed project ready for safe and successful implementation.
Net relief
Our battery projects help reduce the pressure on the electricity grid. By temporarily storing energy during peak production and returning it when demand increases, we reduce grid congestion.gesWe're increasing flexibility. This creates space for new sustainable projects and keeps the grid more reliable and stable.
Sustainability
Energy storage plays a crucial role in a climate-neutral energy system. Our BESS installations ensure optimal use of sustainable energy, limit curtailment, and support the electrification of the Netherlands. We develop our projects with a focus on safety, the environment, biodiversity, and minimal spatial impact.
