Energy storage / Hartel 2 Wind Farm Expansion
In 2018, we developed the Netherlands' first 10 MW stationary energy storage system in the Port of Rotterdam, next to the Hartel 2 Wind Farm (24 MW). Five years later, the idea arose to build a larger system to optimally utilize the grid connection. The old system has since been relocated to the Hellegatsplein Wind Farm, and a new 20 MW/40 MWh system has been installed.
Our role
To successfully develop an EOS, we first investigate the feasibility, technical requirements, and spatial integration.
Later in the process we obtain the necessary permits, financing and select the right suppliers and partners.
